gameplay=> meta[REZ] a meta[REZ]idence... designed by the first Artist-in-residence in Second Life, an improved artist-residency program. A convergence between the logic of game-play and the exigencies of the creative process, meta[REZ] strives to invent an integrated process of learning and creating from within this unique media infrastructure, and promote the acceleration of cultural and artistic incidence.

festival=> 404 Participating in a series of exhibitions across Europe, from Trieste to Madrid, where the Mixed Reality installation, Window[404] will be shown. Real images from virtual worlds... synthetic images of real worlds. Neither ‘festival’ nor ‘performance’ but a Temporary Autonomous Zone for Sizigia. Sizigia[TAZ] is the convergence, in space, time and context, of projects (art, politics, social graphs, network economics...) fabricating spatial patterns and territorial networks for the generation of a Sizigia IDentity-state. Sizigia[TAZ] ecosystem.

portfolio=> Projects A glance at a few projects we're working on. For the most part, they concern the invention of interactive hyper-spaces capable of spanning material states, from, concrete-to-immaterial, actual-to-virtual, by actually existing in both realms. Mixed reality, a merging of real world and virtual worlds to produce new environments, where physical and digital objects can co-exist and interact in real-time, is the condition for which they are the most comfortable working and the one for which these recent projects were conceived. Installations in a variety of settings, urban, natural and institutional, let us experiment with specific material and immaterial qualities of the spaces we create. The ultimate convergence of research, information and the design of space through Exhibition conception and design.

project=> SIZIGIA: [IDentity-states] [Project Development] [Install] [Generate] [Augment] Sigizia[TAZ] [Participation]
The self-proclaimed micronation of Sizigia envisions its statehood spanning between
real structures and virtual developments. The virtual entity in question is the synthetic world, Second Life, a massively multi-player online (MMO) community: not a game, but a creative platform. The emergence, from these synthetic soils, of a symbolic language able to invent formal structures of space and texture, attest to its potential to develop a singular media unique to the metaverse.

project=> AVAIR: [Proposal] [An Artist-in-Residence] [A Project] [ Exhibit: Ars Virtua New Media] [Upgrade Second Life]
Ars Virtua Artist-in-Residence (AVAIR) is an extended performance that examines what it means to reside in a place that has no physical location. Ars Virtua presents artists with a radical alternative to “real life” galleries: 1) Since it does not physically exist artists are not limited by physics, material budgets, building codes or landlords. Their only constraints are social conventions and (malleable-extensible) software. 2) The gallery is accessible 24 hours a day to a potentially infinite number of people in every part of the world simultaneously. 3) Because of the ever evolving, flexible nature of Second Life the “audience” is a far less predictable variable than one might find a Real Life gallery. Residents will be encouraged to explore, experiment with and challenge traditional conventions of art making and distribution, value and the art market, artist and audience, space and place.

text=> [GENETICALLY MODIFIED SPACES] The invention and deployment of an experimental infrastructure for the fabrication of tangible, interactive spaces built from immaterials and confronting a territorial multiplicity, Venice’s Lagoon. Influenced by innovations in persuasive computing and transitive materials, they inform its development and offer it credibility as a sustainable and interactive alternative for the contemporary built environment. A wave in Venice's lagoon.

proposal=> STALKER is a performance that unfolds over time, in-world Second Life. Its goal is to reveal the territorial forces of this multivariate environment, expressed through image-space. Stalker is about the atmosphere that exists from the convergence between image and virtual space, a zone where a surface of light or a line of force become an essential material, and not just an effect.

installation=> RADICAL MATERIALITY: Venice An installation fabricating a singular, immersive space by engaging surface & atmosphere, limits & expansion, material & immaterial... through techno-logical machine making: a space whose foundation is an architecture of networks and the movement of information between its nodes.
